Just a quick note to let you know I gave birth to a little girl, Flora May, on Sunday the 10th January 2010 (her due date!) at 5.51pm, she weighed in at 6lbs 14oz and is perfect, great big eyes and for now anyway lots of dark brown hair.
I had the most wonderful birth experience (minus the pain side of things of course), which is largely down to you and your classes, so thank you very, very much. I had the water birth I wanted, and didn't have any pain relief, which I also wanted. The icing on the cake was that Flora was assisted into the world by not just her daddy Jon, who was a star but Eleanor, who was on duty from just after we arrived at the hospital until we were almost settled for the night after all the fun had finished. She was beyond fantastic and made, what at times was quite a scary thing seem the most natural and calm thing to do with your Sunday afternoon!
Anyway we are all home safe and sound and the hard work is now beginning! We have the most gorgeous daughter (biased I know!) and we are both head over heels in love with her despite no sleep since Saturday and not much chance of any for a while to come.
I would love to come in to tell you my birth story. In the meantime thank you again, I can't express enough how attending your classes made my labour and the delivery of my daughter a joyful, unforgettable experience.
Hopefully see you soon.
Love Makiala xx
“I decided to have some zero balancing sessions after having had my baby through emergency c-section following a long and difficult labour. The birth experience left me feeling fragile and I struggled to think about it without becoming emotional. I found that Karin's zero balancing session helped me work through this experience. The sessions left me feeling calm and relaxed and after a couple of sessions I felt much stronger in myself, both emotionally and physically. I now also feel much more positive about the birth and able to think about it in a more balanced and measured way.It seems to me that the zero balancing sessions have played a big part in getting me to this point."
